20 Months + 3 Days of Fun

Joe just loves to chat when we're out shopping.
He yells out the names of whatever he sees.
He shouts out BOOK! CLOCK! SHIRT! Once he latches onto a word, he shouts it out repeatedly.
Unfortunately, he doesn't pronounce the L in clock or the R in shirt. I get a lot of disapproving stares from other shoppers. One mom's pride and joy is another mom's horrifying, sailor talking, raised by a motorcycle gang, headed for trouble, delinquent-to-be. I'm proud of how much Joe is learning. I wish the shopper's death stares would stop.
I promise I'm not teaching him to curse.

An Elvis Kind of Day

The American Idol episode featuring the Celine and Elvis duet got me thinking.... I love Elvis.

I'm not a big Celine fan, but she did a nice job. The technology was so cool. I really enjoyed watching the duet.

Thanks to Mom, I've been familiar with Elvis Presley's music since I was a little girl. But back then I thought he was gross. My, how things change! You just can't beat Elvis in the '68 comeback special! A couple of years ago PJ (pre-Joe) Matt & I visited Memphis, including Graceland. I loved every kitschy moment of it and gained a newfound respect for Elvis. We had such a great time, I would recommend a visit to TN for everyone! Be sure to stop by Nashville too and holler at David while you're there.

Anyway, I just thought I'd post a little tribute to the King today. Have a great weekend everyone!

Easter Day 2007 Pics

We had a nice Easter visit with Grammy/Mom and Grumpy/Dan and Julia. The Easter Bunny brought baskets for Joseph and his cousins Anthony and Kaiya.

Joe had to visit the Dr. on Saturday and seems to be feeling better now. Doc said he had a sore throat with a virus. He's clearly feeling a bit down in some of his pictures from the orchard and yesterday. Today he's a bit more chipper, though still fussy. Even though he wasn't feeling 100% well, he still managed to run and jump and play like crazy with his cousins.
